Court Records is a division of the Muscogee County Clerk of Superior Court which houses and provides
documentation from court proceedings. The division also provides copies of documentation (for a fee) such as name
changes, criminal dispositions, final divorce decrees and child support orders. Court Records is also where persons
may apply to become a Notary Public (as long as they reside or are employed in Muscogee County). Computer
terminals are provided to the public to perform a criminal or civil record search (copies are subject to a fee).

When making a request for copies of
documents, you should have the
following information: type of
document, names of parties involved,
the year (or decade) and the charge
(for criminal cases). Mail-in requests
must contain a $10.00 money order
and persons should allow 7-10
business days for processing.
In accordance with O.C.G.A. 15-19-51, the Clerk’s Office is strictly
prohibited from providing any legal advice. To insure that all
procedures are followed and the rights of all parties are protected, it
is advised to seek legal counsel from a licensed attorney.
